The health of an ecologically intact ecosystem is reflected in the abundance and diversity of living things. That's why we proudly say we’re wild for wildlife. Every program and service we offer is deeply connected to the animals that share this landscape with us, and it’s your support that makes this work possible.
This October we’re excited to share some of our favorite trail camera videos from the past year, capturing candid moments and rare glimpses into the everyday lives of Swan Valley’s wildlife.

A trumpeter swan pair with 4 cygnets was seen for the first time in years on Swan Lake near the Swan River National Wildlife Refuge (where we helped complete the largest wetland restoration project in Montana’s history).
Some of the things you helped us accomplish in 2026
We built 8 electric fences and handed out
44 bear-resistant garbage containers
to contain attractants and reduce human-bear conflicts. We also collaborated on the installment of 7 permanent bear-resistant garbage containers in downtown Bigfork (and the first-ever grease trap installation at the A Bar!)
The Mission Mountains Youth Crew removed 0.5 miles of barbed wire fencing , creating more connected habitat for local wildlife.
