Shane Lisowski
BEAR CONFLICT PREVENTION COORDINATOR
Originally from a very rural area in Northern NY, Shane left for the Marine Corps at 18 and traveled to many places. After separating from the military, he found employment in cyber security in the Baltimore area and relied on nature to keep his sanity.
He moved to Montana in 2018 and currently lives in Bigfork. Shane attended the Fish, Wildlife and Conservation Program at Oregon State University and also received a certificate in Global Information Systems (GIS).
While in Montana, he has spent many hours volunteering at several organizations, including Swan Valley Connections. He was also seasonally employed by SVC as a technician for the rare carnivore monitoring project and has interned at University of Montana’s Flathead Lake Biological Station as a GIS/ Remote sensing intern.
When he’s not working, Shane likes to be on his raft on the river as much as possible and has recently taken up mountain biking, but he spends most of his free time lounging with his old Catahoula, Bailey.
