A retrospective look at the fires of 2017 including

  • a regional perspective
  • fire and evacuation decision structures 
  • significant fire events
  • fire and fuel management information
  • creating a fire-resilient community 

This meeting will be facilitated by Jessica Stewart-Kuntz of the Montana Community Foundation. Q&A to follow presentations. Questions will be read by the facilitator and can be written before hand or during the event.

Presented by the Clearwater Resource Council, in partnership with the Seeley Lake Community Foundation, Swan  Valley Connections, and USFS.

Swan Valley Connections monthly potlucks are held on the first Wednesday of every month at the Swan Valley Community Hall. This is a time for all community members to come together, share food, learn from one another and enjoy live music!

Doors open at 5:30, Potluck dinner at 6:00, Presentation at 6:30, Open Mic style live music at 7:15 - bring your instruments! Free. Everyone is welcome.

This community event will help people learn about grizzly bear behavior, biology, and conflict management. Bear management experts, professionals, organizations, and companies will be available to provide information. Event time and additional details to be announced.
