Join SVC & MT DNRC for a free Chainsaw 101 Workshop for beginners!

Learn about basic chainsaw safety procedures and operations, develop basic thinning skills, and perform basic chainsaw maintenance. We’ll meet at the SVC Office (6787 MT Hwy-83) and caravan to the nearby class location on the Swan Legacy Forest.

Recommended to bring:

•Chainsaw

• Functioning saw with appropriate gas and bar oil. Electric Chainsaw ok.

• Appropriate chainsaw tools. Scrench, file, etc.

•Personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Eye protection. Sunglasses ok.

• Ear protection

• Gloves

• Pants

• Long sleeve shirt

• Chaps

• Boots or closed toe shoes

•Lunch & Water
