Amanda attends University of Wisconsin - La Crosse and is studying biology with a concentration in environmental science and a minor in environmental studies. Amanda's home town is Coon Rapids, Minnesota and she loves every ounce of it! She enjoys hiking the bluffs at school, knitting the occasional blanket, and has recently found a fascination with birding. She is most looking forward to learning about the invasive species here in Montana and is excited for the wildlife sightings.
Anna skipped the college ordeal, and went to work at a summer camp. Outside of work, she enjoys water-skiing, knitting, and working with her hands. Anna is most excited for the Watershed Dynamics course, and learning more about the great outdoors in which she feels privileged to live.
Bryn is a Junior at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, studying Natural Resource Conservation with a concentration in Forest Ecology. She is originally from Newburyport, Massachusetts and this is her first time visiting Montana. Outside of school, Bryn enjoys playing the ukulele, slack-lining and spending time in the great outdoors. She is eager to learn more about conservation and field techniques in the Valley and exploring a new landscape.
Ellen is majoring in Biology at Boise State University and has lived in Idaho all her life. She is looking forward to a semester of hands-on learning and experiences in the field. She is most excited to see what animal and fungal life Montana have to offer.
Olivia is an incoming sophomore at University of California - Santa Cruz and is majoring in environmental studies. Olivia enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and hanging out at the beach in her spare time. Olivia is most looking forward to experiencing rural living in the Swan Valley, and learning to identify various plant and animal species.
Sam is a sophomore at Iowa State University and is majoring in Animal Ecology with a specification in fisheries and wildlife. Sam has lived in Des Moines, Iowa for most of his life and enjoys fishing, drawing, and camping. He is very excited to be immersed in nature and to learn more about wildlife in Montana in a very hands-on way. Sam hopes to see a bear and fly-fish in some of Montana's streams.
