Swan Valley Connections kicked off its first monthly potluck on Wed. Jan. 3rd. Nearly 40 folks were in attendance and feasted on chili, soups, roasted vegetables, nachos, brownies, fruit... and so much more! Coffee, soft drinks and some beautiful wine was enjoyed by the crowd.
Members of the Flathead Forest Planning Team as well as Swan Ranger District's Acting District Ranger, David Wrobleski and Wildlife Biologist, Mark Ruby were on hand to present the final draft forest plan, with incorporated comments from the community, updated maps, and information on how to make objections before the final draft is adopted.
No music happened, but all musicians are welcome for an open-mic style jam session every month!
Monthly potlucks will be held on the first Wednesday of every month at the Swan Valley Community Hall. We invite all community members to come together, share food, learn from one another, and enjoy live music! Doors open at 5:30, Potluck dinner at 6:00, Presentation at 6:30, Open Mic style live music at 7:00 - bring your instruments! Contact Rebecca at 406.754.3137 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or if you would like to be a presenter at future potlucks.
